Anyone else notice that today's announcement also included our bawbag ex CEO/Chairman has returned to the football department, I dunno what qualifications he thinks he has for that position?
He hadn't left. His place within the Athletic side of the company structure remained. This is because he sits on the ECA and for him to do so he needs to be working at a European club. He will remain at Celtic in this capacity as long as he is part of the ECA - keeps him at the table with the big wigs mingling helping to do DD's bidding.
It may have worked if he had been given a pre-season and his own set of players BUT he was hell bent on doing the same thing over and over again. Wasnt flexible and even when proven wrong he still believed he was correct.
Right decision to get rid of him - and hopefully it has limited the damage done to our season with plenty still to play for.
I called for MON and Maloney to remain in the job long enough to take the cup final - which they would have won in my opinion. Whether they come back into the role of interim is another story entirely. I doubt they would do it for another few weeks - I suspect they would either want it until the summer or until the summer with a view to making it permanent.
So long as he's NOT involved in transfer dealings

Like you've been saying all along, should've never been appointed. Would've like to seen it work but no. Shaun Maloney next?
