Wilfried Nancy & Paul Tisdale have been sacked by Celtic
Celtic manager Wilfried Nancy and Head of Football Operations Paul Tisdale have been sacked by the Scottish champions after just 33 days in charge.
Celtic have announced the sacking of manager Wilfried Nancy after just 33 days in the job, following Saturday’s 3-1 defeat to Rangers at home. Nancy lost 6 out of his eight games in charge - including the League Cup Final against St.Mirren and Saturday’s defeat to Danny Rohl’s side was the final straw for the Celtic hierarchy, as fans protested outside the club’s offices at full time.
Nancy was appointed Celtic manager at the start of December, signing a two and a half year deal after leaving MLS side Columbus Crew, replacing interim manager Martin O’Neill and assistant Shaun Maloney who oversaw seven wins out of eight during their time having filled the void left by Brendan Rodgers who resigned in late October.
The 48-year-old is officially the worst Celtic manager in the history of the club, and with the club trailing league leaders Hearts by six points it was inevitable that the Frenchman was going to be shown his P45.
Nancy's assistants, Kwame Ampadu, Jules Gueguen, and Maxime Chalier, have also been sacked by the club.
Meanwhile, Head of Football Operations Paul Tisdale, who sanctioned Nancy as the club’s number one candidate, has also been sacked. The self-styled Football Doctor joined Celtic in October 2024 in what can only be described as one of the most ludicrous appointments by the club.
Celtic face Dundee United at Parkhead on Saturday, as of yet no interim management team or successor has been announced.

Like you've been saying all along, should've never been appointed. Would've like to seen it work but no. Shaun Maloney next?
So long as he's NOT involved in transfer dealings
