I watched LASK a bit last night against Riad in the Austrian Bundesliga. They looked a threat for the period that I watched - pressing opposition, running down the keeper, and their second goal was a simple pass splitting the opposition defence and the striker racing through beating the backline for pace before firing past their keeper.
Without knowing anything about Baur - our midfield is weaker without Engels in it - that doesn't say that Baur is crap he is an unknown at this time. He may turn out to be bloody brilliant we can only wait and hopefully see that happen. The main issue is our defence, with Johnston out injured we have to rely on Donovan and Ralston at right back. No cover for Tierney other than Scales being moved out there - and then there's the lack of pace from CCV since he came back from his long term injury. As for Trusty, McInnes did one thing right in the final game of the season - he let Trusty have all the time in the world on the ball knowing his distribution was poor.
While I have concerns for our midfield for the LASK game with Engels gone - my biggest worry after watching LASK is our defence.
The Lask game will be 50-50 I think, because our midfield is weak at the moment.

The Ox won’t be playing, he’s carrying a suspension from his last club. Midfield’s even weaker than we thought.
