tRump’s intervention leaves another scar on an already shredded FIFA.

1) If the US team had a problem with the decision, they should have appealed or even objected immediately after the game where Balogun was given the red card. They didn't.

2) After Trump's meddling, the US coach Pochettino should have refused to play Balogun and stated that they would abide by the rules. He didn't.

3) Balogun should have done the right thing and told his team/coach that he wouldn't play since the coach didn't do the right thing. He didn't.

This is what happens when the rules are ignored. Shame on Pochettino. Shame on Balogun.

No point in trying to Shame Trump or Infantino - they have none.

American sport in general rely almost entirely on stats to describe the value of any sportsman.

The fact that Balogun had scored 3 goals was the be all and end all to the 🍊💩, but as per usual he knows absolutely nothing about football, the fans saw Balogun as the most important player when he isnt/wasnt, they dont understand a sport where players play off the hoof and have no planned moves that come from a training session or white marker board.

As we saw last night his contribution meant nothing, karma made an appearance and it couldn't happen to a more deserving loutish fan base and a moronic president.

I didn't agree wth the initial red card but this feels like justice served, at least in the footballing sense.

But what of the referee who was described by the giant, orange parasite currently affixed to the White House as "sketchy". Where is the defence of his honour and reputation>
