Well done, good read that covers all the bases of almost every reaction to a Rangers defeat.
One other reason Rangers complain so much is because the club believe their fans expect them to. I’ll go further - the club are worried that if they don’t complain then any supporter wrath is turned on the board for not respecting and safeguarding the stature of their organisation. That would be most uncomfortable for a current besieged board. So a Statement it is. They get one out to deflect fans anger at the boards own ineptitude. Everybody wins in that scenario - till the next time.
Soon these Rangers statements will become almost as meaningless and disregarded as a Rangers share issue - pointless and serves only to obfuscate the real underlying issues at the club.
So true John, the club's hierarchy are using it as their 'squirrel' moment to detract away from the hate that the CEO and Director of Football are getting. Every Rangers board has resorted to this to placate their fans - but ultimately, it falls flat on its face just as they do soon after. Rangers statements became meaningless long ago, they are now on par with the scrawled messages on a toilet cubicle - written by the same sort of people.
Good read! I think there were some controversial decisions both ways on Sunday but I'll let them have their narrative. Keeps them from progressing on the field
I said it at the time, that Trusty was lucky to stay on the pitch. But Rangers would have already been down to nine men if Cornelius had rightly been shown the red card for his disgusting tackle on Kenny. Then you have Diomande coming in seconds later purposely walking into him while on the ground kicking him while he is down. Diomande seems to get away with everything - be it an elbow smash on the back of Hatate's head in a previous game or this.
The penalty to them was clearly never one - especially since Miovski had fouled him which led to his falling in the first place. And then there is the offside to the first goal - dodgy angles for the camera, dodgy lines drawn, and at the wrong time also.
And that's before we discuss the fouls on Osmand - which should have resulted in another Rangers player being sent off for a second yellow card when he hauled back Osmand when running past him [this happened at least three times to Osmand!]
