So sorry this young man had to be placed in the middle of a cheating scheme by Trump and others! Hope his reputation has not been spoiled .

Fifa did that years ago.

All the governing bodies in sport are and have been corrupt. EUFA FIFA,. The Olympic governing body. The domestic football associations are all suspicious . Even the local ones are run by individuals who have little or no experience of the game. They pontificate . Take Cup final tickets. Little Hitlers.

…this world cup should be cancelled or moved to another country in a first place, but people outside the country really couldn’t comprehend all consequences by allowing it to go on in a country under the dictatorship and now you have it

It was corrupted already. It just took another dark step.

This is a new low. What’s next? Threatening with new tariffs/sanctions if my team doesn’t win? ICE on referees?

Belgium should refuse to play. Leave the fans sitting in the stands, leave the TV coverage void, screw the advertisers

It’s better that they blew them out!! There’s no loss as satisfying as a US loss…

As it goes I don't think the tackle deserved a red card, but after Trump’s interference I would like to see the US team show some integrity by not fielding Balogun, despite FIFA’s complicit overturning of the referrees decision.

The US team winning the next round whilst snubbing Trump through such a show of integrity would be amazing.

The right thing to do by Pochettino would be to sit Balogun (and I do believe the red card was unfair). As an Amdrican, I am sickened by this "decision" by FIFA. Perhaps all those World Cup fans who gushed about how they owed America an apology will now reconsider.
