The Union Bears came dressed for a funeral and their team duly obliged as their slim chances of winning the title were ended, as Celtic ran out 3-1 winners to go one point behind Hearts.
I wish Lennon hadn't declared us as favourites, my heart says he was right whilst my head tells me Motherwell may be a step too far. If Askou is to be our next manager then does he already know? If he does how does he set his team up? If we lose we go to the REALLY difficult route to CL whereas the champions route is defo easier. Surely his players would know if he wasnt trying to win? I think he is a pro and will be trying just as hard to win but Celtic could still win the game through their own efforts.
I'm really nervous but the fact we've been over the course so often must give our experienced players a big advantage.
I'll be watching the game on Celtic TV but will have one eye on my Flashscore app with Satan's 2nd XI score.
Wednesday night's game will be tough. We arent great, but we manage to slog it out somehow. I think given that we have the form going into the last 2 games, the pressure is all on Hearts now and they'll buckle. Celtic have that belief back and with just one point behind, I think they'll do the job come Wednesday and if Falkirk can do us a favour then even better going into the final day of the season.
To be honest, I wrote Celtic off in the title race back in February, but MON and the players have clawed it back again amd with Celtic a point behind now and a few injuries to a couple of key hearts players - the pressure is all on Hearts now not to blow the lead that theyve had since October.
Andy another "problem" came to mind regarding our Billy Whizz fae Osaka, im sure when he was booked on Sunday, flashed up on the screen came the info that this was his 4th booking, now if Beaton had the mind to book him v Well for walking on a crack in the pavement I'm pretty sure that would rule him out for Saturday's game.
I hope MON or his backroom staff are aware of this situation and warn DM about any kind of silly fouls.
Two tough games to go yet, but we can see the finishing line now. I think Hearts will beat Falkirk at home, so we will need to do the business too at Fir Park.
It's all in Celtic's hands now. After the weekend draw with Motherwell, I think Falkirk may just prove a tougher nut to crack for Hearts - Claudio Braga seems to be off the boil big time and with two of their main players out in Leonard and Halkett - it could be a tough night for Hearts.
For Celtic, Motherwell will be a tough game also, but if we can get to the weekend with another three points then I can't see past a Celtic win - I don't think Hearts and especially McInnes will handle the pressure ultimately.
The momentum is with Celtic now, they have the belief and determination to eke this title out against all the odds. I think they will beat Motherwell, which will lead to a showdown with Hearts at Parkhead
I can't help thinking, Sunbed McInnes sphincter is twitching.

Another problem we have midweek is Falkirk have nothing to play for, whereas Motherwell are trying to stave off Hibs for 4th spot.
John McGlynn wont let his players do that though. But Motherwell have more to play for as you say.

As Ange used to say " We Never Stop ".
